In this step, you can Edit the ad you have created. There are a few things to highlight here.
Give your ad a title
At the top of the screen, you can give your ad a name. You can also change the Project that your session is saved in. Your ad will be autosaved as you move through the workflow, and is available to edit from the Projects page.
Editing your ad
In this section, you can:
Change the narrator's voice.
Adjust the voice speed
Edit the text of your script
Enhance (improve) the script with AI
Cut down the script with AI
Extend the script with AI
Change the duration of the clips if needed.
Changing the narrator's voice
To do this, click on the voice you want to change. This will open the AudioStack voice library, from which you can choose a voice.
π‘ You can use the directional keys to navigate the voice library smoothly. Press enter to preview each voice quickly.
You can also use the filters and the search bar to search for voices.
You can learn more about how to use the voice library here.
Once you have selected a voice from the library, you can hear a preview of the voice reading your script by clicking the play button next to the voice.
Voice Speed
On the top right of the clip view, you can find the voice speed slider. Higher speed translates into a shorter script duration. If the length of your voice clip is locked, then the speed will be automatically set, to make sure the speech fits in the time specified.
Above, you can see that the length is not locked, and will change as the speed is adjusted.
Whereas here, the length of the speech is locked at 22 seconds - which means the speed has been automatically increased, to make sure it fits.
Speech-to-Speech
Here, you can change the read type between Text-to-Speech and Speech-To-Speech.
Speech-to-speech allows you to record your voice and transform it into a professional-sounding voice, with your pronunciation, intonation, and even your accent! Click add a read to add an existing voice file to your ad, or record your voice.
Ad Length
It's possible to customise your ad's length as much as you like. You can either lock your ad to a specific length (for example, if you want to always get a 30 second spot), or base the length on the content of your ad (better for social ads). Above, you can see that this ad contains just under 30 seconds of speech, and the total ad length is locked to fit 30 seconds.
With the settings shown above, the generated ad would look like this:
You can see that it is 30 seconds exactly, with speech ending just before the end.
If you don't need to lock the ad to a specific length, you can simply turn fixed mode off:
With fixed mode off settings, the generated ad could look like this:
You might be wondering why the generated ad in this case is a slightly different length to the number indicated. This is because the speech length shown is a prediction. When fixed mode is off, AudioStack doesn't force the speech to fit in any specific timing - so the generated result will vary in length, but can achieve a more natural effect.
π‘ You should select the 'locked' length option if you are trying to fit your script into a specific duration.
Multiple Voices
You can add multiple voice clips to the same ad with AudioStack. Adding a clip will allow you to use additional voices within your ad, and to split your script into parts.
If there's a specific part of your script that you'd like to split, you can also achieve this by selecting the text and selecting 'Turn into new clip'.
By clicking on the ellipsis menu, you can also change the order or delete clips if needed.
Change your Sound Design
At the top right of the screen, you'll be able to select a sound template for your ad from the Library.
You can alternatively use music of your own. To do that, click on Create my own Sound Design
.
From here, select a sound template that you may already have in your AudioStack file system; or choose Upload file
to upload it from your computer.
Once uploaded, you can give it a category, such as Music
. This will help you organise your files.
Give it a name, and it will give you back an 'Alias' - this is just a name that the system understands.
π€ Did you know? Developers in your organization can use this Alias to create audio using your music, using code with our API.
Now, you can search for your uploaded Sound Template in the Sound Library
. To access the sound library, just click on the sound template.
To find your music easily, you can use the Access
filter to view only Sound Templates you have uploaded.
There's a lot of awesome stuff you can do with the sound library, and you can learn more about it here.
Alternatively, if you wish to remove the music altogether, click on the ellipsis menu and then click 'Remove'.
π‘ When you have finished making all of the changes you want, don't forget to Regenerate
the ad!
When you're ready, you can either download the ad by clicking on Ready to use
, or move on to the next step: Produce, which will allow you to adjust the tweak the timings of your speech and add sound effects.
To do that, click on Refine this ad
. Learn more about the 'Produce' Step here
