Manage Projects & Sessions

Easily organize your work.

Updated today

AudioStack's project manager is where you organise your audio production work. Each project is a folder that holds one or more sessions — a session being a single task you're working on, like an ad or an audio announcement.

To get there, go to production.audiostack.ai and click Projects in the left-hand sidebar.

Creating a New Project

  1. Click + Create New Project at the top of the list.

  2. Type a project name and click Create.

Your new project opens straight away. It'll be empty to start.

✅ Sessions get saved automatically once you start generating audio.

Opening a Project

Click any project name in the list to open it. Inside, you'll find three tabs:

  • Production — where all your sessions live

  • Files — any uploaded or associated files

  • Delivery — your finished sessions

The Production tab is where you'll spend most of your time. You can search within the project, or use the Type, Username and Date Modified dropdowns to sort and filter your sessions.

Finding a Project

If you're looking for a specific project — such as one a colleague has been working on — use the Search in projects bar at the top of the list. It filters as you type, so a few characters is usually enough.

You can also sort by Project Name (alphabetically) or Date Created by clicking those column headers.

Favourite Projects

Working on something regularly? Click the star icon (☆) on any project row to pin it. Starred projects appear at the top of the left-hand sidebar so you can jump straight to them from anywhere in the app.

Renaming a Project or Copying its Link

Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the end of any project row for two quick actions:

  • Rename — update the project name

  • Copy Link — copy a direct URL to the project, handy for sharing with a colleague

What Is a Session?

A session is an individual piece of work you've generated inside a project. Each session card has a cover image, a name, information about its contents (such as any voices or script used to generate the audio), and a waveform player. From there you can play back the audio for that session, download it, or share it.

Creating a New Session

You can create a new Session by choosing the Project you want to work in (this could refer to a specific campaign or customer) and clicking "Create new".

  • Choose InstantCreative if you want to start by describing your ad or providing a script (recommended)

  • Choose Pro Editor if you want to work directly in a timeline editor (advanced)

Sessions can also be created from InstantCreative directly instead - they will show up in the Project alongside your other Sessions. Here's how it works:

  1. In the InstantCreative sidebar, make sure the right Project is selected from the dropdown.

  2. Enter your script, choose your voice, sound, duration, and number of versions.

  3. Hit generate — you'll see a short "Creating Ad…" loading state.

  4. Once it's done, the session is automatically saved to your project and appears in the Project Recent Campaigns list in the sidebar.

Opening a Session

From the Production tab, each session card has an Open with… button. Click the dropdown arrow to choose how you'd like to work with it:

  • Open with InstantCreative — edit your Session using a simple text-based editor

  • Open with Pro Editor — opens the advanced timeline view

Moving a Session to a Different Project

If a session has ended up in the wrong project, it's easy to move:

  1. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the session card.

  2. Select Move Session.

  3. Choose the destination project from the list.

  4. Click Move.

Tips

  • Starred projects are great for active campaigns — they're always one click away from the sidebar.

  • Sessions are automatically named based on your script, so you can usually tell what's inside without even opening them.

  • If you're picking up where a colleague left off, search for the project by name or ask them to share the link directly using the Copy Link option.
